MAYOR OF NEW YORK EXTENDS STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR COVID-19 FOR A REASON OTHER THAN THE VIRUS.

On April 11, Joe Biden lifted the state of emergency for Covid-19 for the entire United States. However, Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, for unclear reasons, extended the state of emergency until June 19, 2023. The following day, June 20, he extended the state of emergency again through an executive order.
